Gran Cerdo Tempranillo, Wii Gonzalo Grijalba, Rioja, Spain

A Biodynamic Rioja Natural Wine: Gran Cerdo

This juicy and versatile red wine is crafted from Tempranillo grapes sourced from a declassified vineyard in Rioja. Grijalba farms the vineyards according to biodynamic practices, fostering biodiversity and a healthy environment for the grapes. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts, allowing the natural character of the grapes to shine through. The wine is bottled without filtration or fining, producing a pure and expressive expression.

A Feast for the Senses: Gran Cerdo awakens the senses with an effervescent bouquet of ripe raspberries, blackberries, and a touch of intriguing red liquorice. It's succulent and vibrant on the palate, bursting with freshly picked wild berries flavours. The finish is friendly and lingers with a gentle lactic aftertaste, inviting another sip. This is a perfect choice for those seeking a youthful and lively red wine, perfect for enjoying a variety of dishes.

What is Natural Wine?

Natural wines are made from grapes that are cultivated either organically or biodynamically. The main difference is the vinification process. Natural wines, during vinification, don't use any artificial chemicals—nothing is added and removed from the grapes, unlike organic and biodynamic which used chemicals in their winemaking process.

Natural wines are low-intervention and unprocessed wine.

The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend no more than 6 medium-sized glasses of wine (175ml each) per person per week, equivalent to 6 bottles per person per month. See NHS guidelines.
