Velvet, Pittnauer, Austria, Burgenland
Pittnauer's "Velvet" natural wine offers a juicy exploration of Austrian reds from the Burgenland region. This intriguing blend combines Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and Merlot grapes, resulting in a wine with a touch more depth and complexity compared to a typical Zweigelt-Blaufränkisch blend.
It is soft and spicy with those ‘velvety’ tannins.

What is Natural Wine?
What is Natural Wine?
Natural wines are made from grapes that are cultivated either organically or biodynamically. The main difference is the vinification process. Natural wines, during vinification, don't use any artificial chemicals—nothing is added and removed from the grapes, unlike organic and biodynamic which used chemicals in their winemaking process.
Natural wines are low-intervention and unprocessed wine.
The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend no more than 6 medium-sized glasses of wine (175ml each) per person per week, equivalent to 6 bottles per person per month. See NHS guidelines.
