Collection: Judith Beck

Judith Beck, based in Burgenland, Austria, grew up in a winemaking family but initially studied graphic design. She returned to the family winery in the early 2000s, driven by a desire to connect with the land and express the unique character of the region through indigenous grapes, such as Blaufränkisch.

She's a strong proponent of biodynamic viticulture, avoiding synthetic chemicals, using natural preparations, and following the lunar calendar. In the cellar, she favours spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, gentle handling, ageing in various vessels, and minimal sulfur.

Her biodynamic approach yields wines that are free from synthetic residues and have lower sulfur levels. The focus on natural processes and healthy soils is seen as contributing to a healthier wine, although moderation is always important.

Her dedication to natural winemaking has made her a respected figure in Austria.
